From months, plywood in front of the long shuttered I Love Burgers storefront has been promising a brewery was next for the corner site. And now, with a brand new name change, Trustworthy Brewing Co. is confirming it is headed to the upper level of Grand Canal Shoppes.
Operated by MCC Hospitality Group, the same team behind the Palazzo’s Morels French Bistro & Steakhouse and JuiceFarm, Verdugo West Brewing Co. launched as a Burbank, California, tasting room in January 2017, before switching to its new Trustworthy moniker last month.
Originally hoping for a summer debut, the project is still officially “coming soon.”
In California, head brewer Chris Walowski creates “IPAs, stouts, lagers, barrel-aged beers and sours” and “a new Cask Style beer every Friday.” Also selling growlers to-go, and a compact menu of pizza, burgers, and fries, final plans and opening hours on the Strip have yet to be announced.
