The latest addition to Henderson’s Booze District has a space-age, high-tech business theme and a commitment to brewing “the finest ales known to man or spaceman.”
Located at 7350 Eastgate Road, inside the industrial exterior of Suite 170, Astronomy Aleworks features a 10 BBL brewery at the rear and a currently spartan tap room at the front, offering seating at the bar, or chairs and tables by the windows.
Planning a grand opening on Oct. 13, the concept is building on its roster of “5 core ales: Blonde, Kolsch, West Coast IPA, German inspired Red, American Hefeweizen, and Stout” and has been including a revolving roster of “guest” taps for customers to sample.
The low-key design includes a couple of TVs for sports watching and plans to offer a collection of board games. The retro logo is also available to purchase on hats, shirts, and $6 glass growlers that can be filled with house beers for $18 to drink inside, or to go.
A short walk from CraftHaus Brewery, the district is still home to Bad Beat Brewing, Grape Expectations, and the Las Vegas Distillery, creators of vodka, gin, rum, moonshine, and whiskeys.
