Former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal debuts his chicken restaurant in Las Vegas. Big Chicken features a chicken-centric menu spanning sandwiches and sliders to chicken strips, all served crispy or grilled. Sides such as Lucille’s cheesy macaroni topped with Cheez-It crackers, ice cream sandwiches, milkshakes and root beer from Big Dog’s.Brewing Co. round out the menu.
O’Neal teamed up with JRS Hospitality executives Matthew Silverman and Matthew Piekarski of Hexx fame to create the restaurant and menu. Fans have been able to follow the progress of the menu and restaurant via O’Neal’s Big Chicken Shaq Facebook series.
The restaurant, which takes over the former Origin India space across from the Hard Rock Hotel, includes a full-service bar with local beers, a “backyard-style” gaming area, and online ordering. Diners can stop by every Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and until 4 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
