Signage is up outside the former home of Fat Dumpling on Spring Mountain Road and the first Nevada expansion for Southern California’s 7 Leaves Cafe is officially “coming soon.”
Informally known as the “Asian Starbucks,” the “leaves” in the name refer to the seven business partners, including four brothers, who have announced plans for 16 West Coast cafes by the end of the year and 200 stores over the next decade.
Located at The Center at Spring Mountain, a short distance west of Lee’s Sandwiches, the compact menu features Vietnamese, house special, and black “sea cream” coffees, plus 12 different teas, including herbal, jasmine, taro milk, Japanese matcha, and strawberry hibiscus options, with add-ons of honey boba, aloe vera, and grass jelly.
The cafe also sells 10 different individual macarons, including salted caramel, rose water, Earl Gray, and banana creme pie flavors.
Future opening hours will be 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. during the week, closing at midnight on Friday and serving from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on the weekend.
