The three-year old, burger-centric Café 6 menu is out at Palms Place with a new concept replacing “sammiches” with more sophisticated inspirations for its “chef driven culinary experience.”
Laguna Pool House & Kitchen slots into sixth floor space once made famous by Kerry Simon’s Simon Restaurant & Lounge, separated from the outdoor pool by floor-to-ceiling windows.
Self-described as serving a “contemporary take on American comfort food,” the restaurant is now open daily from 7.30 a.m to 10 p.m., with breakfast available until 11 a.m., followed by lunch until 4 p.m., and then capping the evening with dinner options.
Overhauling the menu, new dishes include vegan selections for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus hearty evening choices of a $42 New York steak, featuring “roasted tomatoes and crispy fingerling potatoes” and the $31 seafood paella created with “shrimp, squid, clams, mussels, saffron and samphire.” Smaller plates include chicken chicharrones, turkey meatballs, or “calamari steak fries.”
