Over the summer, the second local expansion for Peg’s Glorified Ham n Eggs looked almost ready to begin serving its very well-received menu of breakfast and lunch favorites, but the Reno-based company is now officially hoping for an October debut.
Currently hiring for back of house positions, Peg’s will fill a prominent corner position close to the intersection of Durango Drive and Sahara Avenue. The 4,480-square-foot restaurant was previously home to the Biscuits Cafe.
Created in Northern Nevada in 1999 and still family-owned, Peg’s Glorified Ham n Eggs expanded to Henderson a year ago near the intersection of Eastern and Lone Road, close to a Chick-fil-A.
Open daily from 6.30 a.m. to 2 p.m., hours expected to transfer to the westside, the large menu includes pancakes, “skillets,” Benedicts, omelets, and “scrambles,” plus “Blue Plate specials” for lunch, daily creations, and for its Ninth Island customers, “Peg’s ‘Aloha’ from Hawaii” dishes including loco moco.
