First announced in August 2017, with a planned November launch date, downtown’s La Sandwicherie postponed its opening to upgrade the kitchen and is now back on track for a debut this fall.
Located at 365 Lewis Avenue, at the intersection with 4th Street, the European-inspired concept is currently hiring staff to create a menu including “delicious sandwiches, crepes, and other tasty French treats.”
A short walk from the established collection of fast-casual options on Casino Center Boulevard, La Sandwicherie’s site has proven a difficult location despite the easy access for local businesses and employees and visitors to the Courthouse and City Hall.
Over the last three years, City Centre Caffe, Make It Yourself Pizza, and Sin City Sandwich have all shuttered on the City Centre Place ground floor.
Yet to be confirmed, the coffee shop originally expected to be open daily from 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., closing at 2 p.m. on Saturday and all day Sunday.
