Working under the slogan of “eat more beer drink more beer,” the company behind Kona Grill created a new, very different concept earlier this year and its first trial destination is heading to the Las Vegas Strip.
Yet to be officially announced, Kona Grill at the Fashion Show mall is preparing to be turned into XXI Brew Co., recently filing paperwork to add new signage to accompany earlier permits estimating a future $550,000 ”interior remodel” of the space.
No further details of the brew pub have been released, or how the makeover will affect the operations of the existing Asian-inspired restaurant. The advantageous setting on the mall’s front plaza faces Wynn and Encore resorts and occupies a large 8,214-square-foot interior with a custom built exhibition kitchen and a 1,343-square-foot indoor-outdoor patio and bar area.
Kona Gril’s 11-year old original location in Boca Park remains unaffected by the changes.
