Former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal goes seaborne with his new Big Chicken restaurant, which just opened on the eastside last month. Now he plans to open his chicken joint aboard Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Radiance, which sets sail from Spain in 2020. The ship replaces the Carnival Victory following a $200 million overhaul.
People reports that O’Neal took his very first cruise last year, yet Carnival already bestowed the title “Chief Fun Officer” on the very tall basketball player.
While O’Neal’s roster of chicken sandwiches make the sea voyage, served free to travelers during lunch and dinner, diners will also have some breakfast options such as a three-cheese omelet, chicken biscuits, and biscuit and egg added to the lineup and served all day.
Another Vegas restaurateur, Guy Fieri, plans to open Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse aboard the Radiance. Fieri has Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar at The Linq and El Burro Borracho at the Rio.
