The self-described “girls at Scratch” are back and have an opening date for their gluten-free Scratch Made bakery, missed by its loyal fans since it shuttered back in July.
The new space in the Arts District will make it the sole retail tenant at the C3 Lofts, the purpose-built, $14 million apartment building at 1005 Third St., located a short distance from Charleston Boulevard.
The “grand opening” will take place on Nov. 24 from 8 a.m. to noon. Aiming to become the “neighborhood bakery for good eats, your sweet-tooth & quick bites,” future opening hours and an updated menu have yet to be revealed.
The original Scratch Made location, close the corner of Buffalo Drive and Smoke Ranch Road, served “allergen friendly” creations and the team has pledged to continue the commitment downtown.
Previous menu choices have included cinnamon buns, cookies, doughnuts, pizza, muffins, quiche, and custom-designed cakes.
