Long expected, but now finally confirmed, Natalie Young’s new Las Vegas concept will keep the acclaimed chef close to her downtown, six-year-old Eat breakfast and lunch spot and become the restaurateur’s largest project yet.
Old Soul is headed to the World Market Center and the former home of “Latin chic” restaurant Mundo. The 5,154-square-foot space features a dedicated patio by the front entrance and rear access leading directly into the Las Vegas Design Center.
Double the size of Eat’s expansion to Summerlin in 2017, Young became more familiar with the layout earlier this year, creating a “Pop-Up Kitchen” for the center’s week long “Summer Market,” attended by tens of thousands of home furnishing professionals.
Spring Valley favorites DW Bistro were at one time also considering a move into the footprint, creating its own seasonal pop-up, Bistro@MKT, for the visiting conventioneers.
Permits for the ground-floor makeover were filed earlier this month and Old Soul has not updated an estimated timetable for its arrival.
