An upgrade on the familiar boba dessert shop menu found on Spring Mountain Road, The Sweet Shop has debuted on the ground floor of the Chinatown Plaza.

Globally inspired dishes can be enjoyed inside, or to-go, with many customizable options.

Crepes, Belgian and Hong Kong waffles are available at $5.98 each, with sweet or savory fillings added for an extra charge. Options include orange marmalade, gelato, kiwi, banana peppers, ham, turkey, chicken, or sausage.

Among the more unusual gelato flavors, black sesame, avocado, taro, or “pandan leaf and young coconut.”

Vietnamese and traditional-style sandwiches join larger dessert creations such as S’mores, dulce de leche, and the $7.98 “La Classique,” prepared with Nutella, strawberries, and bananas.

The snacks are equally diverse and include cheese curds, jalapeno poppers, deep fried tofu, popcorn chicken, and the $5.95 “elotes en vaso.”
