An ode to music hubs makes its debut tonight when On The Record brings a new nightclub to the Park MGM.
Los Angeles twins Jonnie and Mark Houston created this new nightlife experience that brings a music store entrance, karaoke rooms, a speakeasy, a patio with a double-decker bus for the deejays, guest bartenders, and a dance floor.
The experience, unlike any other nightclub in the city, sits across from the Park Theater with a record store entrance that spans two floors.
Club-goers then head to a speakeasy door that leads to an 11,000-square-foot space outfitted with speakers, TV screens, and cassette tapes from yesteryear. Visitors can try out one of the three karaoke rooms, step out on the patio with that double-decker bus, or head to the main room with a deejay booth fashioned from a Rolls-Royce.
Then there’s a living room space with a fireplace, and the vinyl parlor, where guest bartenders sling specialty drinks.
On The Record, Park MGM, 3770 Las Vegas Blvd. S., 702-730-7777. Open Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:30 p.m. to 4 a.m.
