First uncovered all the way back in July of last year, Juan’s Flaming Fajitas & Cantina has finally begun its expansion to Water Street and the Henderson Chamber of Commerce has announced a groundbreaking ceremony at the site on Feb. 15 at 4 p.m.
A local favorite in Spring Valley since 2013, the “neighborhood place for great Mexican food, drinks and sports” is famed for its namesake steak, pork, chicken, or shrimp “flaming fajitas” dish.
Located at the southern end of Water Street, right at the intersection with Victory Road, the cantina will fill 5,500 square feet, a few steps from the Lovelady Brewing Company taproom.
To be built from the ground up, the restaurant will also be adding a patio facing Chef Flemming’s Bake Shop.
Future hours, an expected opening date, or possible menu additions have all yet to be announced, but customers should expect the original’s specialty margaritas, sangria, and daiquiris, sopas, ensaladas, table side guacamole, and “Baja style” fish tacos.
