Just in time for the Chinese New Year, the Tropicana opens a new Asian restaurant. Red Lotus Asian Kitchen opens today with Asian-inspired fare with a Western flare that diners can eat in the restaurant or as a grab-and-go option.
Chef Steven Leung heads up the kitchen that serves soups, rice and noodle dishes, and rice bowls from Thailand, Japan, Korea, China, and Vietnam. Pot stickers, egg rolls, scallion pancakes, and soy-braised pork belly bao buns kick off the meal, with Vietnamese beef pho, tonkotsu pork ramen, and wonton noodle soup make up some of the soups. Street side pad Thai noodles, Red Lotus chow mein, broccoli and beef bowls, Thai curry chicken, and more make up the entrees.
The restaurant sits next door to Robert Irvine’s Public House, which opened in August Other new restaurants at the resort include Oakville Steakhouse debuting last June, and Savor, which opened right before Thanksgiving.
Red Lotus serves from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
