Bomb Tacos has confirmed an earlier reveal of its expansion downtown and now owner and chef Robert Solano is confidently predicting he will begin serving “later this month.”
Taking over the 1,414-square-foot corner spot at 616 E. Carson Ave., previously home to the short-lived Two Bald Brothers restaurant, Bomb Tacos will be conveniently located a short walk from Fremont East and the Container Park.
Already planned for the interior, “tin walls, brightly colored furniture, Mexican artwork, and a hand-painted mural reading ‘bienvenidos.’” Solano has also either built, or hand painted, many of the dining room’s practical and artistic design accents.
On the menu, favorites that have made his first Bomb Tacos casual concept a huge hit in Spring Valley.
Diners can expect “crispy beef brisket tacos, Baja style fish tacos, wet burritos, carne asada fries, nachos, and tortas,” plus Mexican drinks like Jarritos and horchata. Vegetarian and vegan options are also being planned.
Future operating hours and an exact opening date have yet to be announced.
