Author, celebrity chef, and TV co-host on The Chew Michael Symon already confirmed that he is unveiling a barbecue restaurant at the Palms later this year, but a new job listing hints that he might have expansion plans beyond the Flamingo Road resort.
Applicants are being sought to fill the position of Las Vegas “Regional Manager” for Michael Symon Restaurants. The position will “lead all restaurant operations,” with an emphasis on the plural, at future “outlets opening soon inside Station Casinos.”
The job description includes specific images from Symon’s Cleveland restaurant Mabel’s BBQ, B Spot Burgers — currently serving in seven locations in Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, and Indianapolis — and also his meat-centric Michael Symon’s Roast in Detroit.
While Station Casinos has not made any hint of a Symon empire spreading into its properties, expansions into the Red Rock Resort and the under-construction new wing at the Palace Station would appear a logical fit.
At the Palms, where details about his barbecue concept have been kept closely under wraps, a third quarter debut is the earliest possible arrival date.
