Since 2012, Little Richie’s Chicago Style Beef & Dogs had been serving up a taste of the Windy City close to Treasure Island’s sports book. Now, replacement counter-service restaurant Richie’s S.U.B. Shop has removed many of the original menu items and focused on serving hot, cold, and specialty sandwiches.
Open Sunday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to midnight and on Friday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., the renamed restaurant no longer carries Chicago-style hot dogs, a Reuben sandwich, and specials, like the fried cheese curds.
On the current menu, cold subs, including the $10.95 tuna salad foot long, hot subs such as a 12-inch, $10.95 cheese steak, or the $9.95 Italian meatballs. Specialties include “The Porchetta,” the Polish sausage-based “Big Daddy,” and a “loose meat cheeseburger” dubbed “The Nuway.” Chicken wings and tenders also join a foot-long hot dog option.
Featuring its own seating area and located next door to the poker room, Richie’s faces the sports book, right on the edge of the casino floor.
