UNLV’s loss is Spring Valley’s gain as chef Vic Moea, also known Vic Vegas, relaunches his New York meets Las Vegas fast-casual concept 7 Sinful Subs.
Lasting more than a year on Maryland Parkway, the new location takes over the 2,010-square-foot former cafe and live entertainment concept Kaffe Live at the Apache Plaza, close to the intersection of Fort Apache Road and Tropicana Avenue.
Featuring recipes inspired by Moea’s mother and grandmother, new menu items are already being served, including the “Fun-Yun-On-Yun Soup,” the hot dog enhanced “Trail-Errrr” and a meatball and garlic bread appetizer.
Favorites still available include the “Sinful” options of a “Knuckle Sandwich” built with salami, pepperoni and ham topped with melted mozzarella and the “T.V. Dinner,” created with turkey, stuffing, mashed potato and upgraded with sides of corn, cranberry sauce and gravy.
“Not-So-Sinful” choices like “Tom-Schmootz,” made with tomatoes, mozzarella, greens and croutons, join sides headlined by the “Meat Styx,” a serving of “Grandma’s Homemade Meatloaf” wrapped in a wonton and then deep fried.
