Two self-described “Beer geeks from the Bay Area” have managed to beat the local curse and debuted a bar on Casino Center Boulevard.
Located opposite Vesta Coffee Roasters, the two-story Three Sheets Craft Beer Bar has installed its 30 taps and has already created a Monday to Thursday happy hour, offering a dollar off all draft beer and cider from 3to 6 p.m.
Owners Stefanie Jackel and Wendy Rather will regularly update the Three Sheets inventory online, and current Nevada pours include the Atomic Duck from Able Baker Company in Henderson, the Revision Double IPA from Revision Brewing in Sparks and the neighborhood appropriate 18b Pale Ale from Hop Nuts Brewing, situated a short walk away on Main Street.
A very large, illuminated “bar” blade sign makes the space easy to find. Importing its policy from the original Dublin, California, bar, the owners state “we are all about beer, leaving the food to the experts in the area.” Local food trucks will be a regular sight outside the venue, with Burgerfest serving at the grand opening. The bar also created a section on the ground floor for live bands to entertain.
