Henderson lands a taste of healthy casual fare when the second Portion Control debuts on Saturday. Diners can order classic comfort food with a healthy spin for dine-in, take out, or even meal prep.
Justin Blum, who also happens to be the CEO of Raw Fitness, launched Portion Control with executive chef Vince Upperman in 2016. The idea? Food that’s freshly prepared and sans preservatives, additives, and GMOs.
Patrons can order a salmon plate with basmati rice pilaf, grilled asparagus, and red pepper sauce; a margarita cauliflower crust pizza with non-fat cheese, basil, and tomatoes; a breakfast skillet with ground turkey, sweet potatoes, spinach, and feta cheese; mac and cheese made with barbecue seasoned chicken, turkey bacon, veggie pasta, and broccoli in a vegan cheese sauce; bang bang chicken made with grilled chicken breast, a stir-fried vegetable medley, zucchini noodles, and a house firecracker sauce; a nacho bowl with ground chicken, cilantro lime rice, black beans, pico de gallo, roasted corn, peppers, onion tortilla crisps, lime, and cheese sauce; and a chimichurri steak with grilled flank steak, Yukon potato mash, and grilled asparagus.
Portion Control already has a location at The Gramercy at 275 W. Russell Road.
