SOUTHWEST — Dapper Cos. confirms that The Bend, a dining and entertainment complex across from Ikea on West Sunset Road and Durango Drive, will include a variety of local favorite restaurants. Anchored by a 73,000 square-foot, 13-screen Galaxy Theaters, an early leasing brochure lists SkinnyFats joining Johnny Rockets as a casual dining option. Developer J Dapper tells Vegas Inc that he’s in talks with vegetarian restaurant VegeNation, Pizza Rock, wine bar Bin 702, coffee roaster Vesta, and Henderson’s Great Greek Mediterranean Grill. He also says that beer favorite Aces & Ales may build a full brewery and Thai stalwarts Lotus of Siam could open at the complex. [Eater Vegas/Vegas Inc]
SUMMERLIN — Nittaya Parawong’s Block 9 Street Eats now plans to open in April, according to Vegas Seven. The owner of Nittaya’s Secret Kitchen brings a more casual concept to a 2,012-square-foot vacant space facing the bike trail at the Retail Trails center, close to the corner of Town Center Drive and the 215. Her neighbor? The first Las Vegas location for Emeryville, California-based coffee roaster Peet’s Coffee & Tea. [Eater Vegas/Vegas Seven]
