Ahead of a three-day “grand opening” that will include live performances from local DJs, food truck operators Big Jerk have debuted their first bricks-and-mortar expansion.
The self-described ”nicest jerks in Vegas” will be dishing authentic Caribbean flavors at the southeast's Silverado Crossing retail canter, close to the intersection of Silverado Ranch Boulevard and Bermuda Road.
Taking over the corner property, formerly home to a Don Tortaco Mexican Grill, a new menu has yet to be revealed, but truck favorites included plates served with rice, peas, fried plantains and cabbage, joining selections like “Jerk,” “Brown stew,” or Jamaican fried chicken, “King Fish,” beef oxtails, and sides including mac and cheese, and steamed veggies. They also featured peach cobbler for dessert and a rotating roster of daily specials.
