A combination home for California’s Jogasaki Sushi Burrito and local favorite Fukuburger is finally close to a debut in the southwest.

First announced in late 2016, the stylish structure by downtown’s Bunnyfish Studio will cover 3,440 square feet at the corner of Buffalo Drive and Warm Springs Road. The retail center created by Dapper Companies already welcomed Hollywood, California’s Fist of Fusion Island Grill late last year and will be a future home for downtown’s The Goodwich.

Jogasaki is now informing followers to expect a May opening date for the first brick-and-mortar home for the L.A.-based food truck. In 2010, it introduced sushi burritos to the region and in Las Vegas, diners can also expect salmon ceviche tacos, spicy tuna nachos, and burritos like the “3B,” created with “spicy salmon, avocado, cucumber and shrimp tempura wrapped with soy paper.”

While the second local Fukuburger restaurant will sit inside the same building, it has yet to publicly commit to an opening date, but assures fans the restaurant is “getting scary close.” Bonus: Fukuburger adds a fire pit to the outdoor patio.
