HARD ROCK HOTEL — Virgin Group founder Richard Branson and an investment group that includes Bosworth Hospitality Partners and investment firm Juniper Capital bought out the resort on the east side of Las Vegas on Friday. Changes to the rock-n-roll-themed resort take place through the end of 2019, when the Virgin name takes over. In the meantime, visitors can expect new culinary partnerships at the hotel. Seven new restaurants are on the docket, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Already the resort has MB Steak, Pink Taco, Nobu, Culinary Dropout, Fu, Oyster Bar, and more. Rehab, the pool party at the resort, also gets an expansion, perhaps taking up another three acres at the site. Also on tap, a nightclub where every seat feels like a VIP experience taking over the former Vanity space. [LVRJ]
UNITED STATES — Wilfried Bergerhausen, the former executive chef at Le Cirque at the Bellagio, probably has a new restaurant of his own in the works. He hints to Financial Express that he has “a special project in the works that will hopefully bear fruition soon.” In the meantime, he’s been traveling. [Financial Express]
