One of the most visually intriguing debuts of the year, Gäbi Coffee & Bakery, has announced its “soft opening” dates on Spring Mountain, bringing an “exotic, but stylish” Korean coffee shop experience to Chinatown.
Initial service will begin on April 10-11, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Mountain Point Business Park on Spring Mountain, a mixed-use business center now well known for its fellow tenants, Taiwan’s Chatime, Hobak Korean BBQ, and the Tokyo-style menu of Ramen Hashi.
Gäbi’s 2,944-square-foot rustic interior will include an indoor “greenhouse roasting room,” trees, Edison bulb lighting hanging from driftwood, and a seating section built with stacks of books, offering customers a view onto Spring Mountain Road.

Menu hints have included an ornate raspberry lychee cake, matcha cheesecake, croissants, bread, Danishes, tarts, and cakes created on-site, plus sandwiches and savory choices featuring dressings and sauces also made in house.
