The Suncoast Hotel & Casino has finally confirmed its new gastropub headed to the resort and is now enthusiastically welcoming diners to its “grand opening.”
90 Ninety Bar & Grill will officially debut at 5 p.m. on May 16, but in the meantime, visitors to the resort can still take a chance and check if the restaurant and bar is getting an early jump on serving a “modern cuisine” menu.
The 5,000-square-foot space, with a bonus outdoor patio, includes the main bar, a lounge, 14-seat private dining room, and a stage in the dining room for live performances scheduled Thursday to Saturday. “Local entertainers” will take to the stage at 8 p.m.
Alongside retro, star-shaped lighting salvaged from the demolished Stardust Resort & Casino, the interior by Novus Architecture features more eclectic lighting, booth and standard table seating, large mounted televisions, and brick, reclaimed wood and mirrored walls. The downtown company also created the look of sibling gastropub, the Balliwick, at the Orleans in 2016.

Named after its Alta Drive address, on the 90 Ninety menu, “new flavors and craft cocktails” and “house brews” from Main Street Station’s Triple 7 Restaurant & Mircrobrewery.
Appetizers will include the “giant pretzel with ale house cheese fondue, Baja rock shrimp with Dos Equis beer batter and chicken lettuce wraps with tofu, crisp water chestnuts and fresh green onions.”
For dinner, diners can find pizzas, entrée salads, grilled sandwiches, seafood, steak, ribs and 10-ounce burgers. The cult dish of the moment, a “Nashville hot chicken sandwich,” is also available, alongside gluten-free and vegan choices.
Closed on Monday and Tuesday, future opening hours will be Wednesday through Sunday from 5 to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight. Happy hour fans can take advantage of 5 to 7 p.m. and “9 p.m. to close” deals and spin a wheel to win a “randomly selected additional drink special.”
The gastropub is located up the escalator at the east-side entrance to the resort and next door to SC Prime Steakhouse & Bar.
