The kings of serving half ground beef and half ground bacon burger patties now confirms its move to Las Vegas. California chain Slater’s 50/50 plans to begin serving a menu of “burgers, bacon & beer” sometime this summer.

The ninth expansion for the brand will take over the easy-to-spot, round-cornered building vacated by the shuttered New Day Café back in May, close to the intersection of Silverado Ranch Boulevard and Bermuda Road.

Currently hiring for the upscale, but casual concept, the sports bar will be open daily for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and long happy hours. A representative for the burger company updates this is the first of three planned local restaurants.

On the menu, locally sourced and regional craft beers on tap, a wide variety of “meat candy” bacon selections, including its use as a topping for crispy Brussels sprouts, plus wings, chicken sandwiches, salads, fries with bacon catsup, indulgent milkshakes, and “frickles,” the “panko-breaded pickles with honey mustard.”

All burgers can be customized, including having them prepared with a meat-free “Impossible Burger.” Specialty choices include the “Rosemary Turkey,” a “Sriracha Burger” and the “P.B. and Jellousy,” built with “Black Canyon Angus beef, thick-cut bacon, natural peanut butter and strawberry jelly on a honey wheat bun.”
