Taking over the former Snow White Cafe, Honolulu’s Matcha Stand Maiko has expanded to the Ninth Island and debuted the Matcha Cafe Maiko in Chinatown, a fast-casual home for its vibrant green dishes, desserts, and drinks.
Creating everything in-house, including its own waffle cones, the counter-service spot features a “photo friendly corner” with props to help upgrade any social media snaps. Its custom-etched tables include artwork of arrows pointing to phone charger inputs below.

On the menu, $5.10 medium sized frappes and $4 matcha lemon teas. “Kokuto jelly” options join a large collection of floats and a stand-out choice is the $7.80 Maiko specialty parfait, made with the option of matcha or vanilla soft serve and layered with ingredients such as mochi, cake, jelly, and red bean.
A future expansion into Henderson later this year is still being promoted by the company.
