Less than a year after launching in Spring Valley, local 100 percent vegan quick-service destination Veggy Street plans to build a second home in the southeast, with the promise of “many expansions” still to come.
The new location will move into the under construction Sprouts Retail Center at the northwest corner of Silverado Ranch and Maryland Parkway. The new hub anchored by a Sprouts grocery store features a six-and-a-half acre site that penciled in space for multiple small retailers and larger pads for drive-thru dining.
The original Veggy Street is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The restaurant promotes “sustainable plant-based eating” on the menu, and dishes include the “veggy cheeseburger” built with a “vegan pattie, agave/guarana quinoa, lettuce and red onions on a pretzel bun,” plus wraps, sandwiches, falafel, soup, a vegan “smartdog,” Parmesan yucca fries and desserts highlighted by a banana tapioca creation.
A projected opening date has yet to be announced, but the company's anniversary will be celebrated in October.
