Not to be confused with the million dollar It’Sugar store headed to the Grand Bazaar Shops, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina’s I Love Sugar will create an even bigger concept at The Linq Promenade.
The project will take over the Welcome to Las Vegas Gift Shop, which will reopen inside a new location along the promenade this June.
I Love Sugar will also build a bar and restaurant on the second level at the former site of a Kitson department store, before the chain closed all 17 of its stores in 2015.
The ground-floor retail section will offer the company’s signature, giant candy specials, including the “world’s largest gummy bear,” a 5-pound, 10-inch tall sugary souvenir.
Early renderings show huge gummy bear statues wearing sunglasses will decorate the exterior, plus a giant cocktail glass, a psychedelic color scheme, and guests entering through the letter “O” of signage spelling “love.”
The Myrtle Beach store debuted in 2013 featuring a gelato counter, but no bar or dining option. An estimated debut date in Las Vegas has yet to be revealed.
