A coffee chain so cult-ish that its fans are known as the “Dutch Mafia” has announced its second local expansion will debut in North Las Vegas this month.

Under construction since last October, Dutch Bros. Coffee will launch on Wednesday, May 9, at the corner of North Las Vegas Boulevard and Hamilton Street, facing the North Las Vegas City Hall.

The drive-thru fills the 1,014-square-foot former home of Hick’s H&H BBQ Pit Stop. While the opening date is confirmed, operating hours are yet to be revealed.

On the menu, smoothies, teas, coffee blended from Colombian, Brazilian, and El Salvadoran beans, and flavored choices such as the chocolate macadamia nut “Annihilator” and the “911,” created with Irish cream and six shots. Plus, “grab-n-go” snack items.

Still on the way, another coffee kiosk at the Shoppes at Blue Diamond in the southwest, close to the intersection with Arville Street and a long in the works southeast locale at the Windmill Retail Plaza, bordered by Windmill and Bermuda.

The Oregon-based chain first arrived in Las Vegas in June of last year and still serves around the clock at 2840 E. Tropicana Ave.
