Closer to the Strip than its counterparts in Chinatown, Chabi Japanese Cafe is almost ready to debut on the eastside inside an easy-to-find location directly across Flamingo Road from the Tuscany Suites & Casino.
Built by W G Constructors, whose recent work includes Meet Fresh and Gabi Coffee & Bakery on Spring Mountain, Chabi was originally dubbed a “tea store” when work began late last year.
The menu has now been expanded beyond serving “Japanese-style green tea” inspired by centuries old traditions. Recently previewed dining options include “fluffy matcha pancakes” and California poke served in a glass bowl, “Japanese pizza,” and a Las Vegas favorite, ramen burgers.
Located at 280 E. Flamingo Road, the new building is an addition to an existing bank and liquor store and will eventually include a nail salon. An exact opening date or future opening hours have yet to be announced.
