Boyd Gaming gets in on the restaurant shuffles by shutting down three of its eateries.
First up, Big Mess Bar-BQ at Sam’s Town closed this week. The barbecue restaurant originally opened in 2016, taking over the shuttered Old West-themed Billy Bob’s Steak House & Saloon and specializing in meats dry-rubbed smoked over a blend of hickory, red oak, and applewood.
Back in February, the restaurant launched the Big Mess Challenge with huge servings of barbecue beef brisket, chicken, pulled pork, pork ribs, smoked sausage, a choice of two side dishes, two slices of white bread, and peach cobbler.
Over at the Eastside Cannery, the Deli and Carve Steakhouse closed. The steakhouse touted a Vegas dining experience without the prices found on the Strip.
A representative from Boyd Gaming did not mention replacements for any of the restaurants.
