Atlanta and its surrounding neighborhoods have fast become a recognized hot spot for Korean restaurants and Duluth’s K-Factory BBQ is preparing to export its successful spin on barbecue to the Rio.
Originally planned to begin work back in January, K-Factory BBQ recently refiled paperwork and allocated an impressive $1.3 million in estimated construction costs.
An exact location inside the resort has yet to be confirmed, but the Rio is already home to the Asian menu’s of KJ Dim Sum & Seafood’s Chinese restaurant and the Pho Da Nang Vietnamese Kitchen.
The K-Factory specializes in gas grills at each table, where dishes are prepared by friendly servers. The parent company also operates the 678 and 770 barbecue restaurants that have opted for charcoal grilling.
On the original menu, a wide collection of beef, pork, chicken, and seafood choices ready to grill, plus banchan, traditional and modern Korean side dishes. It is not known if K-Factory’s all-you-can-eat option will also be imported.
Yet to be officially announced by the resort, an estimated opening date has not been revealed.
