Michael Mina’s Pub 1842 expands its weekend brunch at the MGM Grand with dishes served every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Dishes from the restaurant’s lunch menu appear. Diners can order 1842 Nachos, featuring layers of pork chili verde, shredded cheddar, ‘Merican cheese sauce, pico de gallo, black bean relish, fresno chilis, crema and green onions, as well as dishes such as the Pig and the Waffle with Carolina-style barbecue pulled pork with two over-easy eggs atop a cheddar-chive cornbread waffle and drizzled with chipotle crema.
Other dishes include a smoked beef brisket hash with fried potatoes, jalapeños, red bell peppers, caramelized onions, and two over-easy eggs mixed with smoked beef brisket; avocado and lobster toast; a Monte Cristo with country ham, roasted turkey, and smoked Gouda and Swiss cheeses, plus raspberry chipotle compote for a touch of sweet.
No brunch is complete without cocktails, and the barbecue bloody Mary finds a home on the menu with its mix of Jack Daniel’s whiskey, bitters, a dash of barbecue sauce, and a barbecue-spiced rim, pickle, and pepperoncini garnish. The restaurant also serves a brunch Bellini made with white peach puree, lime juice, chai tea syrup, peach bitters, and champagne.
