Visitors to the Venetian won’t have long to wait to be “transported to Olde Britain” and a new home for the “fastest, hand-tossed New York Style Pizza in the West!”
First revealed last November, ubiquitous Strip restaurateurs Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group will launch their two latest creations at the Grand Canal Shoppes by the end of the July,
Royal Britannia Gastro Pub and Pizzeria Pronto will take over the shuttered Tintoretto Restaurant & Bakery, next door to Fifth Avenue’s own Gondola Bar, which becomes a Smith & Wollensky in 2019. Initial plans called for the 6,639-square-foot space to be overhauled with an estimated construction budget of $850,000.
Currently hiring, both projects have released few details of what to expect, but Royal Britannia is self-described as an “olde-age pub with a culinary flare” serving “craft beers and nuvo-British fare.” Renderings indicate a patio will be installed on the retail center thoroughfare.
Pizzeria Pronto will also offer gelato, alongside New York-inspired pies baked in 800-degree ovens for a speedy preparation time.
The parent company still operates Johnny Rockets, Primeburger, Tacos & Ritas, and San Gennaro Burger inside the resort.
