Da’ Crust Pizza & Kitchen has long earned a reputation for its Chicago- and regular-style pies in an unlikely home inside Yucapia, California's Yucaipa Market & Liquor convenience store and now the team has debuted a local version in Henderson.

Da’Crust takes over the shuttered Hawaiian-infused Royal Aloha Pizza Kitchen, which closed after less than a year in business, close to the intersection of Pecos Road and Wigwam Parkway.

Created by Frank McCarron, Da’Crust won the Las Vegas International Pizza Challenge in 2009 and McCarron has been honing his pizza making skills for more than 30 years.

Still waiting to finalize opening hours, but expected to be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, Da’Crust encourages guests to compare its own “authentic Chicago deep dish” pizza to both Pizzeria Uno and Lou Malnati’s pies.

Diners can also order thinner crust choices, calzones, a familiar menu of pizza store favorites and another house specialty, “Da’Philly cheese steak.”
