Flock & Fowl Permanently Closes Its Original Location

Sheridan and Jenny Su of Fat Choy and Flock & Fowl fame decided to permanently close their original Hainan chicken spot on Sahara Avenue. The couple’s second restaurant near Golden Steer Steakhouse closed late last year in advance of the second Flock & Fowl opening at the Ogden in Downtown Las Vegas.

Co-owner Jenny Su says the closing was “beyond our control.” In May, a rat infestation sparked the attention of the Southern Nevada Health District, even though the restaurant was already shuttered for a renovation. The original location opened in 2015 with little fanfare and a huge following for the Southern Chinese rice and chicken dishes.

The couple’s downtown location that opened in December just joined OpenTable and plans to add delivery services. “Support from downtown locals and tourists has been amazing,” she tells Eater Vegas.

Fat Choy at the Eureka also remains open.
