Libre Mexican Cantina, the Mexican restaurant at Red Rock Resort, closes after a two-year run at the resort. Station Casinos says the restaurant from Clique Hospitality shutters at the end of June “to make way for an exciting new restaurant concept that will soon further complement our wide array of food and beverage experiences at the property.”
Vital Vegas originally reported the shutter, speculating that Blue Ribbon Sushi would take its place.
You heard it here first. Libre Mexican Cantina reportedly will close at Red Rock resort, to be replaced by Blue Ribbon Sushi. Libre is second Clique Hospitality offering (see also Salute) to be out at Red Rock.

So far, Blue Ribbon, which has restaurants at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Grand Bazaar Shops, Linq Promenade and Downtown Summerlin, has not confirmed whether Blue Ribbon Sushi would take over the space. Owners Bruce and Eric Bromberg had Blue Ribbon Sushi & Grill at the Cosmopolitan before Zuma opened.
Libre took over the former Mercadito Mexican restaurant space at the resort in February 2016.
Clique Hospitality also had Salute Trattoria Italiana at the resort. That closed in November to make way for Masso Osteria from Scott Conant, which opened in February.
