Sitting across Las Vegas Boulevard from Mandalay Bay, Lovepreet Singh continues to expand his casual dining empire along the Strip, debuting the Southern India-inspired menu of Mirchi.
Now open around the clock, Mirchi sits between a McDonald's and Rocco’s NY Pizza & Pasta which arrived in February at the Akita Plaza retail center, close to the intersection with Four Seasons Drive.
Singh is also preparing to unveil Wing Addiction and Cartel Takos at the Fashion Show mall later this year. His India Masala concept launched at the mall three years ago, followed by an expansion to the Grand Canal Shoppes in 2016, creating another 24-hour venture, Curry Pot.
Further south, with a name translated as chili peppers, Mirchi is pledging to offer “authentic and delicious South Indian food at an affordable price.”
On the menu, familiar choices such as $5 samosas, or the $13 chicken tikka masala, and $10 chicken biryani dishes join less common options of goat chettinad, a bone-in goat curry, $9 egg bhuji pao, made with scrambled eggs and slider buns, and an $11 baked fish.
Reflecting the menu’s South India origins, eight choices of dosa are available, priced from $9 to $11 and include a “scrambled paneer” and the vegan “spiced potatoes and Crolina Reaper Addiction sauce” creation.
