Sin City is home to a lot of restaurants and bars, but there are tons of hidden gems that the majority of Las Vegans aren’t unearthing. To help guide us to these potential discoveries, we’ve enlisted some of our city’s beverage players to share their recommendations for a random feature dubbed Cocktail Confidential. Know a bartender who wants to share some top cocktail spots? The tipline is open.

Tony Duncan helped open Brooklyn Bowl , the bowling alley, concert venue, and restaurant at The Linq Promenade, back in 2014 as a bartender. In the past, he’s worked at PF Chang’s at Planet Hollywood Resort, and the former ESPN Zone at New York-New York. Here he shares some of his favorite places to grab a drink when he’s not bartending, working out, snowboarding, or hitting the pool or beach.

Which bars or lounges do you turn to when you’re not working?

I drink craft beers and liquor on ice. I like to go to bars and lounges of bartenders I know who come into Brooklyn Bowl. My top four favorite places would be Libertine Social at Mandalay Bay, Black Tap at the Venetian, Born & Raised on Warm Springs, and Public School 702 at Downtown Summerlin. I like the food, atmosphere, and drinks.

Which cocktails are most memorable?

Libertine Social would be my top pick for amazing hand-crafted cocktails. They have a few refreshing cocktails that must be had. The Cucumber Cobbler is made with Hendrick’s Gin, fresh green apple & cucumber, and ginger syrup. The Atomic Fizz is made with Ketel One Citron, Aperol, Prickly Pear Puree, and Setlzer. The ZigZag is made with Absolut Citron, Cointreau, Watermelon and Lemon Juices. Libertine Social has a stylish and sophisticated cocktail for every taste desire.

Why do you enjoy going there?

We live in the entertainment capital of the world with some of the best food and drinks anywhere. Given that, I don’t like to go back to the same spot twice. I like to see everything there is to offer.

Are there any outstanding coffee cocktails that you enjoy? Where do you go?

I’m not a big fan of coffee cocktails. I like my coffee black.

What about breakfast or brunch drinks? Where do you go?

I don’t do breakfast places that much. I like Stacks & Yolks but other than that not a big breakfast or brunch guy. Not too big into breakfast or brunch drinks either.

Where do you like to stop for a wide selection of beer?

For the largest selection of beer I like to go Tenaya Creek Brewery, Banger Brewing, Aces & Ales, and Big Dog Brewing Company.
