Henderson will host a new, locally run casual restaurant before the end of the month, another vote of confidence in the steady rejuvenation of Water Street.
Hades Grill will take over the long shuttered Emery’s La Barrista, directly facing the Henderson campus of CSN and next door to the Public Works Coffee Bar.
Created by Monica Martinez and Derek Hornaday, the Grill hopes to debut by the middle of July, featuring a menu they describe as “sinfully delicious fusion.”
Already previewed via its social media accounts, the “Chubby Kamikaze,” made with “bao buns stuffed with adobo pork belly and topped with a wasabi slaw,” the “Hounds of Hades,” a “kosher hot dog wrapped in applewood bacon and smothered in Hades’ smoked brisket chili,” New Mexico hatch green chile burgers and “Wagyu street tacos.”
Expected to be serving both lunch and dinner, future opening hours have yet to be revealed.
