By the time Cheba Hut celebrates its first anniversary in Las Vegas, the stoner-friendly “toasted sub” and munchies concept plans to launch two more homes for “cotton mouth cures.”
Previously revealed to be replacing The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at the Runnin’ Rebel Plaza, conveniently across the street from UNLV, the patio equipped space is now pushing for a fall debut.
To the west and eight miles to the southwest of Cheba Hut’s Sahara and Rainbow Center headquarters, a third expansion is also aiming to be ready by the fall.
Taking over a shuttered Ori’Zaba’s Scratch Mexican Grill, the roomy, 2,400-square-foot corner property includes an outdoor patio on two sides of the restaurant frontage.
Located at the intersection of Durango Drive and Warm Springs Road, Cheba Hut will be serving a short walk from Firehouse Subs and feature its own menu of four-, seven- and 12-inch “blunt” size toasted sandwiches, plus extras including salads, a hummus platter, French onion soup, and Rice Krispie bars.
Yet to be confirmed, the southwest location has room enough to install its own bar area, matching the original Rainbow Boulevard outpost.
