Set to the arrive in Centennial later this month, Hawaiian shave ice specialists The Frozen Frog was a victim of the recent dramatic downpours across the valley.

Updating on social media, the popular Spring Valley company explained, “while installing an air vent, the contracting company working on the business next door left an opening in the roof.” The monsoon season rains forced the store to dry out the space and remove sections of the wall coverings.

Located at the Oso Blanca Pavilions shopping center, close to Durango Road, the first 1,098-square-foot expansion for The Frozen Frog will sit next to the mini-burgers of Burgerim. Marco’s Pizza and a Capriotti’s sandwich shop are already serving at the center.

On the original Frozen Frog menu, a range of Dole whip floats, Thrifty’s ice cream, desserts including chocolate apples, caramel pretzel turtles, fudge, Oreo pops, butter, sweet and savory popcorn and dozens of flavors of Hawaiian shaved ice with toppings including gummy frogs or worms and “li hing mui powder.”

The store still hopes to be “open as soon as possible.”
