Less than a year ago, the family-owned Peg’s Glorified Ham N Eggs expanded to Henderson from its very successful northern Nevada roots and is now confirming construction has begun on a second local breakfast and lunch restaurant.
The Reno institution since 1999 from husband-and-wife team Fred and Joanna, a.k.a “Pops and Peg,” operates seven Nevada restaurants and one in Roseveille, California.
The Las Vegas space will fill 4,480 square feet on the westside, replacing the Biscuits Cafe that closed in April in a prominent corner position, close to the intersection of Durango Drive and Sahara Avenue and in the same retail strip as Double Down Pizza.
Warning “we have a ways to go,” Peg’s has shared images of the initial construction stages via social media.
Future daily opening hours are expected to follow the Henderson example of 6.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and import the same generous portions of “glorified” food & “egg-cellent” service.
