OhLaLa French Bistro, the Summerlin cafe that opened two years ago, now plans to debut a sister restaurant, La Cantine, at 3250 N. Tenaya Way in the same strip mall as a Target at Cheyenne Avenue and Tenaya Way.
The menu here focuses on sandwiches. Diners start by choosing a bread, such as brioche, ciabatta, a croissant, Dutch crunch, or baguette, then select a meat. Pastrami, roast beef, pulled chicken, prosciutto, bacon, turkey, duck pate, salami, and more make the menu. Then a cheese, condiments, and sauces such as poivre, spicy ranch, garlic confit with herbs, zesty barbecue, or bleu cheese.
Chef’s selections include a French dip, pastrami rueben, and more in the $8 to $15 range.
Other dishes include quiches, soups, and Buddha bowls with a rice, greens, or “base of the month” topped with a sauce, proteins, and vegetables. Those dishes start at $8.
LLa Cantine also plans to have an extensive dessert menu that include gelato in flavors such as pistachio, strawberry, mango, lemon, and salted caramel, cookies, pain du chocolate, apple turnovers, and more in the $1.50 to $7 range. Of course, macarons make the list.
The restaurant plans to open this summer, open from Monday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
