Very early paperwork indicates La Cave Wine & Food Hideaway will undergo some extensive remodeling later this year, a short time after fellow tenant Cipriani Las Vegas debuts at the Wynn Plaza.
Created by the Morton Group’s Jenna and Michael Morton, La Cave debuted at Wynn in December 2010, filling approximately 3,000 square feet with a front bar area, a wine cellar-inspired interior, and an extremely popular outdoor dining terrace, a favorite for Sunday brunch.
The new upgrades allocate an estimated construction budget of $1.4 million to cover an interior remodel and also an unspecified “addition” to the restaurant.
Wynn is already warning guests, “La Cave will be closed for renovations Nov. 5 through Dec. 30,” but the project has yet to be officially announced and details of how the changes will possibly affect the theme, menu or direction of the restaurant have not been released.
Featuring a small plate menu created by executive chef Billy DeMarco, the extensive wine list can be paired with savory plates from the “sea, farm, oven, garden, grill and butcher.”
