The Cannery loses its steakhouse today. Waverly’s Steakhouse at the resort plans to close today to undergo a renovation. Parent company Boyd Gaming reports that the restaurant will open as a different type of eatery “in the near future” without sharing those future plans.
Waverly’s offered a throwback look reminiscent of the 1940s with a traditional menu that ranged from escargot and veal Oscar to king crab legs, oysters on the half shell, and South African lobster tails. Of course steaks, most notably prime rib, made the biggest dent on the menu.
The fine dining restaurant sits off the casino floor at the North Las Vegas resort.
Earlier this year, Eastside Cannery closed the Deli and Carve Steakhouse. The steakhouse touted a Vegas dining experience without the prices found on the Strip.
