Double Barrel Roadhouse, the one remaining outlet from the Monte Carlo’s restaurant collection, now no longer serves food. Instead, the space at the front of the Park MGM is now just a bar, open Wednesdays through Sundays from 4 to 10 p.m.
The restaurant from SBE, the former parent company of SLS Las Vegas current operator of Hyde Lounge at the Bellagio and T-Mobile Arena, opened in 2014 with 12,000 square feet or indoor/outdoor space. The menu featured Southern fare such as shrimp and grits, fried chicken sandwiches, mini corn dogs, and chicken pot pie with a slice of pie served in a Mason jar a la mode or deep fried S’mores, a graham cracker sandwich filled with marshmallow and chocolate, and battered, deep fried and dusted with powdered sugar for dessert.
Double Barrel does still have a happy hour Wednesdays through Sundays from 4 to 7 p.m. featuring $5 draft beer and well cocktails.
Later this fall, Eataly opens next door at the resort.
